euskalforging will supply four ∅9.626mm rolled rings to ExxonMobil refinery. This is a big milestone for euskalforging as it will be produced using the new RAW SMS-Thyssen Wagner 1.000/1.000 and the rest of the committed new investments. The rings will be transported directly by barge from euskalforging’s direct access quay to the customer´s quay.
Under the term of the contract, euskalforging will roll, heat treat, machine and deliver the four rings by barge. This project will be possible thanks to euskalforging’s unique solution, capable of producing finish machined rolled rings up to ∅10.000 mm and its strategic location by the sea with direct access to its own quay, avoiding road transport and its logistic implications.
The project will be supervised by euskalforging’s customer and the final customer, ExxonMobil.
Additionally Fluor has been designated as the EPC and will also be involved during the manufacturing process.
