Euskalforging has been awarded with the manufacture of rings for the heaviest bearings ever designed for final customer China Communications Construction Company (“CCCC”). The bearings are the tunner boring cutter head main bearings, with dimension above 8000 mm in grade 42CrMo4Mod.
Euskalforging is proud to announce that it has widen the scope of profile ring rolling process up to 8000 mm of outside diameter. The profile ring rolling carried out at euskalforging uses special tools and, in addition to the advantages of rectangular ring rolling (excellent forging reduction ratios, fibre orientation and microstructure), it also offers significant savings in material and a general reduction in costs
Euskalforging its presence in the reducers market together with CMD; the French company has finished the production of its innovative reducer for rolling mills. This model, designed for the ArcelorMittal factory in Fos-sur-Mer/France, shows the impressive weight of 180 tons and 9 MW power.
